Jason Child
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Jason Child has served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Splunk since 2019. Prior to joining us, Mr. Child served as Chief Financial Officer at Opendoor, an online real estate marketplace, from 2017 to 2019. From 2015 to 2016, Mr. Child was Chief Financial Officer at Jawbone, a consumer technology and wearable products company. Mr. Child served as Chief Financial Officer at Groupon, Inc., an e-commerce company, from 2010 to 2015. Previously, he spent over 11 years leading various global finance teams at Amazon.com, Inc., an e-commerce and cloud computing company. Mr. Child began his career at Arthur Andersen LLP. He holds a B.A. from the University of Washington.

Peter Hirst

Peter Hirst leads a team of professionals who partner with clients and faculty to design, develop and deliver innovative and impactful executive education programs for individuals and companies. He has over twenty years of experience in international strategy, technology consulting and organizational leadership and development.

His past roles have included: CEO of the commercialization, consulting, and executive education business of the London School of Economics; Senior Science and Technology Policy Officer and Westminster Fellow in the UK’s Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology, where he advised MPs and Peers of all parties on policy issues in the physical sciences, defense, and IT; and entrepreneur. Peter has served as director and board adviser to businesses and non-profit organizations on three continents. He currently sits on the Board (Chair 2018-19) of Unicon, the international industry association for university-based executive education; is a Director of FRED Leadership, a collaboration between educators and business leaders to elevate the field of ethical leadership; is a founding director of the Internet of Things Talent Consortium; and is a director and former President of the British American Business Council of New England.

About the Speaker:

Ash Noah
Vice President, External Relations for Management Accounting

Ashok Noah is Vice President, External Relations for Management Accounting at the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). In this role, he serves as a liaison to CFOs and CEOs to understand how finance teams are evolving and guides AICPA initiatives to help management accountants create more value for their organizations. Ashok is responsible for building and strengthening relationships with global employers and elevating awareness of the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation. He works closely with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in the U.K. in that effort.

Ashok joined the AICPA in 2012. Prior to the AICPA, he served as CFO of the international unit of TNT Express, the global transport and logistics provider and led finance teams in 45 countries through significant transformation. He has been involved with mergers and acquisitions in Brazil, Chile, India and Spain.

Ashok is a licensed U.S. CPA and a Fellow of CIMA. He is based in Durham, North Carolina.

Joel Wilhite

Joel’s diverse experience, which includes international senior financial leadership roles at private and public companies, includes long-range financial planning and forecasting, operational accounting, annual budgeting, mergers and acquisitions and building and developing top talent.

Joel joined AvidXchange in 2017 as the Chief Financial Officer. Previously, Joel was the CFO at Quantros, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) company in Greenville, S.C., that offers an enterprise-wide suite of applications that helps hospitals better manage the quality and safety of patient care. Prior to Quantros, Joel was the Senior Vice President of Finance for BenefitFocus, a leading SaaS provider of benefits administration software and solutions, and the CFO for the International division of Blackbaud. He began his career as an auditor at KPMG. Joel is a CPA and received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting with honors from the University of South Carolina.
