Automobile Dealership Consolidates Locations & Upgrades Infrastructure

Client Profile

$250MM luxury brand automobile dealership.

Business Challenge

Client was consolidating operations from 3 separate operating units/locations into a single, brand new $85MM facility. They needed to upgrade the technology infrastructure significantly in order to improve employee productivity, communications, security, reduce costs, and build an image of a world-class facility.

Solution & Approach

  • Designed and implemented a state-of-the-art Microsoft network with over 500 network devices
  • Selected managed the implementation of a Cisco Voice over IP (VoIP) phone system with wireless IP devices, unified messaging, and fax-to-the-desktop capabilities
  • Negotiated and managed all technology acquisitions and changes ($1.5MM in technology acquisitions)
  • Oversaw construction of the facility from the ground up to accommodate all new technologies (servers, desktops, wireless, satellites, surveillance, audio, video, voice)
  • Created IT support organization, provided managed services for one year, and then transitioned back to newly built, internal organization
  • Trained all users in operating system, office applications email
