Plantation, FL - February 16, 2011 - Auxis, Inc. (www.auxis.com), a leading management consulting and outsourcing firm headquartered in South Florida, today announced the expansion of its near shore service center in San Jose, Costa Rica to support clients in the United States and Latin America.
The expanded Auxis Outsourcing Service Center is located in the Ultrapark Free Trade Zone and Business Center and will provide both IT and Accounting services. Ultra Park is a modern business park that has been built to meet the highest international standards required by high profile international firms. Such distinguished companies as Pfizer, Roche, Hewlett Packard (HP), IBM, Amazon and Intel, among others now call Ultrapark, Ultrapark II and Ultra LAG home. The Auxis Service Center is located in the heart of the Costa Rican workforce. Located nearby is Interamerican University, the largest private university in Costa Rica, and a large population of the existing and potential employee base. Also within close proximity are three other universities including Universidad Nacional, Costa Rica’s second largest public university.
Today’s highly competitive markets have led many leading organizations to establish back office operating models that maximize the focus on high value creation activities, while ensuring that routine transaction processing is performed in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible. This has led to a strong growth in back office outsourcing and near shoring.
"We selected Costa Rica as the primary hub for our Latin America offshore services center after extensive research and analysis,” said Alvaro Prieto, Auxis Senior Vice President of Outsourcing Services. "Costa Rica is a leading a pioneer of the Latin America offshore market. It enjoys a strong service export environment, highly educated and qualified workforce and strong information technology infrastructure. We have been serving clients from Costa Rica for over 18 months with great success."
During the past five years, Latin America has emerged as a major player in the market for near shore services. Many leading global companies, such as Proctor & Gamble, HP and Amazon, have successfully established large offshore operations within the region. The rise of Latin America as a viable near shore
destination alternative for United States companies has been primarily driven by a combination of its geographic proximity, cultural similarities, cost attractiveness and quality labor pool.
"We see near shore outsourcing as a tremendous opportunity for both our clients and Auxis,” said Raul Vega, Auxis Chief Executive Officer. "We have been successfully helping clients improve their competitiveness through our outsourcing services for over eight years. The expansion of our Costa Rica service center provides us a more robust platform for delivering competitive advantage for our clients. It is a key component of our overall growth strategy”
